The tear down begins with tank & seat removal. Cleaned some dirt and crude off first, more to clean while it's apart. I then adjusted the valves, added a new spark plug, cleaned the air filter and cleaned out the gas tank. I can see the dirt being in the tank, but weeds too.....really? Next up....Sub frame removal to get the rear shock out for servicing and a new 11.0 kg Eibach spring. Last year had a buddy haul my butt home after a flat. The rear end of the bike scooted out to the side as we started out. Luckily he saw it and pulled over so we could fix it. I owned a KLR650 but got rid of it. My problem with it was, too heavy for trails and viburated like a 25c motel bed on road trips. I did like the fact that it had a lot of after market support. Seems like a DRZ400 is a smaller version, lighter and less vibs on the road. The KLR was comfortable and the DRZ looks like it's goinng to need a different seat. That's all I got on a DRZ. Saturday got the bike all fixed. Saturday night the wife worked. Sunday morning had breakfast with her family. Sunday afternoon till night had lunch with my family. Monday morning I adjusted my suspension. Monday afternoon sat around the house. Monday night felt ill......now it's back to work.
