First day back to work sucks!!!!!

Stuck in my office, having to look at the tank gauge and turn on the compressor when needed.

There is only sooooo much surfing I can do before I go loony with boredom. (HR is now my IT guy so can't look at porn anymore, heck, even that you can only handle for so long).

Trying to figure out the numbers but people keep messing me up

3min to fill tank....10min to empty if everyone is painting?

Problem is almost everyone is at lunch so I'm at 22min right now. Still gotta keep checking it.

And don't even tell me to just fix it. Ordered the part I need Next Day Air!! Replaced the part with another that was/is bad just to get it running like this.

hmmmmmm.....doughnuts. I just had another one.

*compressor is running well enough now that I just need to watch it. No going outside to turn it on-off. Now I'm even MORE bored.

**decided to catch up on some reading over at ADV.

Man, watching paint dry might be more fun than what you are doing. LOL. I am cleaning the shop form top to bottom and reorganizing for all the winter shenanigans, i.e. snowmobile season. Not much fun either, but it makes all the other jobs after it alot easier. Hang in there Kev, you'll get through the day!

Everyone is gone now so I can just turn off the compressor. Sad thing is the boss came and told me at 1:30 that he had turned it off since there was only one person left painting. So I went and got all my work done early....now i have nothing to do AGAIN

oooooh, you poor bastard !!! if your bored, why don't you come lay under a logging truck welding all day at 15 degrees and snowing, when something lands in your ear ya don't know if it's a snow flake or a spark. wet from head to toe, not to mention getting shocked every time i grab another rod. doughnut.....DOUGHNUT haven't had anything to eat since 5am for breakfast!!! ya your right the first day back at work SUCKS!!!!!!

ha, just had a idea that will probably win me the nobel prize!! if ya got extra time on your hands why don't ya take a file and a piece of steel and file your self out a spare ing key for your bike

Yes I was twisted up like a pretzel in the wing (747) on the OB strut looking at a job when my flashlight dies . Yup first day back at work sucks!
