Hola... or something like that

Just stumbled across this forum. Been riding/racing offroad all over the U.S. for over 20 years. Recently moved (back) to Seattle. My current ride is a street-plated GasGas 300, but I also have a couple vintage Bultacos, hence the user-name, and a couple Honda's for my kids. I prefer the challenge of tight, technical single-track as opposed to blasting down fire roads all day. I've gone up to Walker Valley a couple times already, but looking forward exploring some other places and meeting other, local, riders who enjoy the same type of riding.

walker is on my list of places to get dirty. saw utube footage of a few rides and looks fun. this year however i think the highlight will be camping in manistash near ellensberg. too many places to get lost big

I went to CWU (many years ago). Used to be lots of good riding all around that area. Long before the days of GPS we'd ride from Thorp all the way to Bumping Lake (?). There was a place called Whistlin' Jacks Lodge (?) where we'd gas up. Had an old IT250, open-face helmet, a pair of used lineman boots and leather work gloves. The local LEO's didn't care if you had a plate so long as you had an ORV tag and a spark arrestor they were cool.

Yay, this forum needs more GasGas riders!

We are trying to get into the Thursday Walker Valley ride after work again like we did last year. I'm a 2nd year born again rider (rode from age 8 till 10 thumb

) All I really know is Walker Valley. It's ok, but man the trails really took some abuse this winter.
