EXC Carb Issue

Bike ran great last year. Bike started acting up this spring. Choke didn't raise RPMs, back firing on decel, idle different everytime I started it. Figured it was gummed up. Took to shop for a carb clean. Got it back, idle stable, backfire better but still there, choke still only raises a couple hundred RPM. I'd like to richen it up a little more for the backfire, but I have no idea about the choke.

Suggestions?

Is it de-smoged? Fuel catch can still on it? Air cleaner clean?

Have checked the fuel screw setting? When the carb was taken apart for cleaning they would have had to remove it. Maybe it did not get adjusted properly when it was put back together.
