New Guy from Elgin

Greetings, I just joined the forum after seeing the listing on Craigslist.  I am glad there is a group of fellow riders close by!  I have been riding most of my life, and I purchased my first Dual Sport back in 2012 after my return from Iraq.  Currently, I have a 2010 XR650L with a ton of mods, and I have been putting quite a few miles on my bike each year.  I haven't been able to find too many people on my side of the mountain that have bikes, or that want to ride on a regular basis, so I am hoping to find a regular group to do some riding with.  I live on top of the Minam Summit on my family's ranch, and there isn't too many roads or trails that I haven't ridden from Mt. Emily to Troy or from Elgin to Halfway and Anthony lakes.  My biggest goal/ dream is to get a group together to head to Moab for a week and explore this late spring or early fall.  At any rate, I hope to catch up with you guys soon!

Yes indeed... MOAB!  Either way, looking forward to riding!  I am still buried under 2-3 feet of snow at my place, but I am not opposed to hauling somewhere... just sayin!  Thanks for the welcome!

I accidentally use WA instead of OR when googling Elgin.  HAHAHAHA...comes up Australia.

Yes.  Tried to plan the annual one last year but weather and no interest made it difficult.  Hopeing to try a little harder this year

Gotcha, Let me know what I can do to help!  I am in the Oregon Army National Guard, so there are obviously weekends that I am going to be busy, but we can figure out a date and start making arrangements.

I'm in for Naches anytime! I've got the plated KTM 300 or the plated XR650R but no knobbies on that right now.

Alright there are 3 of us.  We will have to watch the snow levels closer to opening/spring.

Count me in.  I just fired up the DRZ400 today... Most of the snow is going off here in Selah, but it will be a while for Naches... Which is my back yard.
