Chaos comes up with a great loop to think about. Approximately 175 miles (conservatively). Trout Creek Lower 175 (tbd) 675814 Use Google maps images for some of the scenery.

That is half of it. Take a right at the bottom of the Vermilion and cross the river to Trout creek it has Gas, food, bar, store, hotel.
Then maybe head over to Martin creek and possible Camp (others could stay in Trout for the night life) then head up Martin Creek and cut over to Thompson pass and drop right down onto T.Falls gas food what ever then over Thompson river road. But cut across Hw2 on the other side of Thompson lakes and head up Lost Prairie to pick up your loop. No backtracking and the only pavement would be when we drop into towns for gas and so on maybe 5 to 10 miles.

Trout Creek Lower 175 (tbd) 129847 That's what'cha call a twoforone! I get it now, adding Martin creek definitely makes it a two day trip! Things are starting to come into focus.

Howdy folks. First post here, usually hang out at ADV, but someone mentioned this site had some more MT riders, so I figured I'd check it out. Got all excited when I saw a TC ride, as I live in Thompson Falls. Too bad I missed it. I'd love to see some pics from the trip and hear how it went. If you're in the area and see a X-Challenge bombing around, it's probably me. My buddy has one as well, but his girlfriends usually on the back... Gahhh

Hey FatHalf

Welcome to the forum. When I make it down that way I'll be sure to give you a shout out. Trout Creek Lower 175 (tbd) 5543

Looks like Chaos is heading down to Darby for the ADV gathering, and I hope to be back on two wheels shortly. I regret to say I didn't make the ride that would have put me down on that route.

Have a good week

griz

I wanted to hit West Fest this year, but my little sister is getting married that week and I didn't think it would be wise to risk "being late"..(= Thanks for the welcome. I'm usually out at least a couple times a week, and sometimes venture up to the Kalispell area. My goal for the summer is to ride/learn the country between Thompson River and Niarada. Looks like some neat roads in that area, and country I've never explored other than a couple fishing trips to Hubbard.
