ktm resort

you have most likely read about me whining, cussing, an moaning about working on my 990 ktm. well working on the 990 is a joy compared to putting up the ktm adverture tent, complete with garage for the bike. mechanically declined cousin decided to get me one for christmas. so we decided to assemble the ''ktmahall'' as i now call it. it actually went together pretty good, however we were a bit worried if we would be able to get it back in the nifty little carrying case. but with some help from the trusty adjustapeen[standard version] we got it beat back in there. this is what it starts out like, an yes it is all in there!

i belive the only words spoken at this point "holyshit dude, we'll never get this back in that carrying case"

the tent part went together just like any other tent, pretty simple [ even with mechanically declined cousin ''helping'' notice the paper under the tent, that would be the directions, lost them right off the start. [ real men don't need directions ] then we started to put together the ''garage'', after putting the poles in wrong about 3 times we finally bowed down an read the directions, over an over an over, they wern't any help, but we did finally figure it out.

well there it is, an it is big, 15 feet long. probably will never use the garage part.

I can't believe you got it back in the pack.

What will they think of next!?

That's one impressive portable shelter!

Holy jeez, that thing is massive! I know where we can all stay when we head up to visit bigjer. LOL

I'm with Inspector, I don't see any evidence of it being back in the pack it came in.

we got it all back in there, didn't post a pic because it looks just like the first pic. [well almost] it's kind of like the factory tool kit of your bike, it all goes in until the last wrench that you have to pound in and then beat the lid on. you get the idea.

we actually have 2 of the ktmahalls, his an mine. cuz's snoring sounds like a busted chain so we won't be rooming together in the tent, an i plan to camp about 100 yards away as not to hear his screams when we are in bear country. i figure instead of bear spray or a gun i will simply poke some holes in a can of tuna fish an squeeze some juice all over his tent an put the can in his saddle bags of bike, this way i will get a good nights rest. a firearm with 1 bullet would be handy also as if we had a bear encounter all i have to do is shoot cuz in the foot, it's a well known fact you don't have to out run the bear, just the slowest person!

Remind me never to go camping with you.

YUPPIE, i've been called alot of things before, but a yuppie ain't one of um.

What impresses me about that tent is that for what it is, it's really not that expensive considering it has KTM printed on it.
