| this week end is our big parade, we also have a car show so it's time to blow the cob webs out of the exaust of the mighty flat head ford!  | |

| ya, ya, i know the body needs paint, but the flat head sure is pretty  got to like that 50 year old technology  | |

| Very cool! I don't know much about the old flat-head Fords. It looks like 4 spark plugs on the right bank, but why only 3 exhaust pipes from the head? | |

the exhaust pipes are coming out of the block, not the head!! [ damn kids ] just think of it as a V8 briggs an stratton, get it now?? the center 2 cylinders use a common exhaust port, why do they use a common port do you ask? i haven't a clue  actually i think it was a space issue, or henry ford was just a cheap bastard an it was cheaper to cast the block with 3 ports instead of 4  i have been asked that exact same question a zilloin times. | |

| caused a lot of problems with cracks in the block around the middle valve seats though didn't it ? | |
