One of my favorite rides is to go from Chinook Pass HiWay 410 over to White Pass HiWay 12. I turn off 410 at the Nile, which is about 10 miles west of the town of Naches. Then I go up the Rattlesnake to Timberwolf Lookout. From there I go to Cash Prairie, and then to the top of Bethel Ridge. I follow the top of Bethel Ridge easterly and hit HiWay 12 at the Oak Creek Elk Feeding Station. From there it is about 2 miles back to the HiWay 410 junction. To complete the loop, it is about 5 miles back to the Nile turnoff. Total distance is approximately 60 miles. The Woodshed Restaurant ia located at the Nile turnoff and is a good place to meet and have breakfast. At the end of the ride, back at the Woodshed Restaurant, we will be hungry for lunch. This ride involves a little bit of two lane hiway, some one lane paved forrest roads, some gravel logging roads, and some easily passable jeep trail. It offers a good variety of riding and several excellent vista points.

Is anyone interested? I am thinking of either Saturday, June 26 or Sunday, the 27th. We can meet at The Woodshed Restaurant at 9:00am.

Let me know your thoughts

Yakima area ride 99711 Just lurking, but I'm interested.

I'm not sure what I'm doing tomorrow, let alone at the end of June. Yakima area ride 84165

The date for the Yakiima area ride has been set for Sunday, June 27th. There is at ATV Poker run scheduled for the 26th at the Oak Creek Feeding station and we want to avoid any conflict with that event. Again, we will meet at the Woodshed Restaurant at 9:00am for breakfast and ride out from there. The Woodshed Restaurant is 12 miles West of Naches on Hwy 410.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you plan on attending so I can get a head count for breakfast.

This promises to be a scenic ride. Bring your camera. See you then.

I know the area. I spend a week or two camping in the meadows on Bethel Ridge every year. I planned on being at Kaner Flats that weekend anyway so count me in.

Yes, the ride is still on for the 27th. May be only 3 or 4 of us but that is OK.

The weather outlook for this coming Sunday's ride looks to be excellent.

See everyone at 9:00am at the Woodshed Restaurant. Come hungry because their meals are huge.

There is also gas available there if anyone needs it. The ride will be about 70 miles long with no gas stops. Bring your cameras, water, and anything else you think you might want. The ride will end back at the Woodshed for lunch.

Let me know if you have any questions.
