how far from portland is this place?

anytime you wanna ride there im in. ive been wanting to ride the "gnarly singletrack" in the GP for a while and can't find anyone to go with me. -lets DO IT!

If I go there, do I bring my kayak, or my bike? Hey, I'll bring both. I have a few friends who have paddled on the Lewis river. The pics from there are amazing. How is the trail? My son is a good rider, but a novice. Is it one he could handle?

There are some nasty sections at Giford...the penalty for failure is quite high in places. I'm also wanting to ride there, hopefully this summer but I'll be somewhat selective on trails. Maybe we can set up a group weekend ride this summer?
