My Father just purchased a restored 1980 CJ5 with a 304 V8 and a 4 Speed Trans. The guy did a great job restoring it. He had a Edelbrock intake and carb installed and it had a stumble off idle when we picked it up, a little re-jetting and it's running great now . My father will be using it in the Alvord Desert this summer, should be a great time.
My father and I built up a 03 Rubicon which my father sold a few years ago, we both agree the CJ5 is more fun to drive. Bring on summer!
Here's a few pics..It's a dark metalic green but the color didn't come out very well in the pics.

That is about the sweetest long fender I have seen in a loooong time. I used to have a 72' CJ5 that was my everyday driver. Like a DA I sold it.
