| I just did some sweet bartering and ended up with a 1989 XR250R free and clear. It is my first off road capable bike in 14 years. I really look forward to tromping through the boonies again. | |

I had a '94 XR250 that my buddy's wife sold me after he broke his leg. Pretty much the same as your '89 except for a rear disc brake. Good choice since it's been a while since you last rode in the dirt. I used it mainly for trail work and a spare bike for friends to ride. Never did anything besides change the oil and filter and clean/oil the air filter. Might have greased the zerks once or twice. Guy I sold it to still rides it every week. | |
