| Hey all, Been a long time since I had a DS but have been cycling and MTB'ing forever. Just picked up a used Yamaha WR250R and curious if anyone is riding in the Winter months here in the PNW. Looking forward to getting some Mods on it and getting out and riding it! Anyone??  | |

| Bob, Is Sand Hill up by Sequim?? Tried looking up some info today but didn't find a whole lot. Was on a time crunch though.....
Here's a stupid question for all.. Just curious, what percentage of most of the readers (of this forum) are riding their Dual Sports on street versus off road?? I just picked up a used 2008 Yamaha WR250R which had only 420 miles on it. It's pretty much friggin brand new with the stock tires. I also scored some new Dunlop 606's for X-Mas... If I was to meet for a group ride, which tires should I have on?? | |

I'd rock the stock tires as long as possible (hell, I'd take them off your hands for cheap). I even go to the trouble as to change out tires per ride. LOL *If you don't mind paying for tires, throw on the 606's and never look back. They can tackle any terrain from street to single track. | |

| Sand Hill is Tahuya state forest. Sorry, grew up calling it by the gravel pits name.
I ride on Kenda 760's at the moment. I try to not ride on pavement much but do ride it out to the single tracks once in a while. If I am using my pickup and just want to stay on the trails I take the CR 500 and leave the XR at home.
Its my first set so Im not sure how there going to last but so far seem to be holding up. | |

| I came over and rode Tahuya a couple years ago with some guys from the west side. Nice place to ride, had a great time. | |

| Tahaya ride Sunday. 10 am at the pit off Sand Hill road for staging. Hopefull its snowing. Will have a less experienced rider with us, so it wont be a balls out day... | |

It was wet! But FUN. Were meeting at 10:30 AM Friday for another. Gravel pit staging area off Sand Hill road! | |

| Tahuya was REALLY wet today with puddles, I mean lakes around every corner. Only had to navigate around thru 20 or so trees. Lol | |
