Snowmobile almost goes over a Cliff - YIKES!

cool video. Looks like this guy needs or just learned an important lesson about cornices on snowy peaks! tempting to look over the edge, but VERY unstable! He is truly lucky. I bet he will never do that again!

That one is going to make the "I shouldn't be alive" shows....

About two weeks ago, a couple seasoned backcountry skiers - brothers in their mid thirtys - highly trained were traversing a cornice. One brother fell when the cornice gave way only three feet from his brother, he perished in the ensuing avalanche while his brother could do nothing to stop the tragedy.

I agree the video is remarkable, but that dude should have bailed back into the treeline until his riding buddies could safely retrieve the sled.

Aren't I the Debbie downer this evening!? LOL

We were up at Table mtn last October.....planted a Geocache up there....looking over the cliff edge....yep, a wrecked snowmobile waaaay below. Creepy!
