| I just orderd some. Should be here this week. I am excited to see how they will fit my racks. Does anyone know of some cheap waterproof stuff sacks ? I like how these saddle bags mount, they seem solid and easy enough to remove. They hold around 40 liters and with my cool cutting board rear rack, I should beable to take the kitchen sink. Also thanks to hodakaguy's post, I have started a camping/gear/tool list ! Does anyone know of a cheap small stove to pack. Kinda woundering how I am going to eat on this trip we are takeing this summer. It should be intresting ! I am sure I will have more questions ................ | |

| You know me, I am cheap. If you bring it I will use it ! I have been looking at some other super cheap stoves on e-bay, they would work (kinda). | |

| Hey Uncle Shane: Do you have an impact driver? I can't get my brake handle assembly rotated far enough down to be comfortable when I'm standing as the screws are just too tight and I don't want to strip the screw head. Also, on your FMF, did you just replace the muffler or did you go all the way to the heads? One more thing; when do you and Darrin have time to get together to plan for the trip? Maybe a night in June and then a half-day or so in July when it gets close? Can you tell I'm excited. I'm thinking of bringing some tools down with my bike and some stock aluminum I'm gonna buy and maybe we can redneck an extra support for my rear rack! Then we can post some pics with your name on it! | |

| Guess a chord strapped over your rear rack is not a good idea. The muffler was half an inch away from the chord and burned mostly through the bungy, the bag and the cat food. Gonna have to give in and buy a rear rack bag. Worried about the muffler, though. Heat shield may not be enough, but I have the stock exhaust on the Honda XR650L. | |

| Fits the xrl nicely and can hold just about anything you need. No rear rack required! | |

| I am also interested in th GL units. I could see the wolfman units if it was drier on the west side but the dry bag material is right on target for me. Looks bomb proof to me... | |

| I mounted a packboard frame to the rear rack and am using dry bags right now. I'll post a picture after I paint it up. Free is good. the GL's would still be better. | |

| Alright. We have this on record that you encourage my "Redneck Rear Rack." I do assume that you will make sure that I note that "Shane has the right to hassle Doug at anytime about his embarrassing Redneck Rack." The paint is drying. I even painted the U-Bolts. Can't wait to post the pics tonight! Any thoughts or new ideas are welcome. Stay tuned. | |
