| My buddy told me "I always catch fish here"... So after an hours drive, a hike through knee deep snow with gas auger and snow sled in tow (the dog actually helps pull the sled), about twenty holes later, still didn't catch any fish. Should have stayed where we were in the morning where we kept five nice pike. It was a good day though. I plan on doing some riding up there this summer. Summer fishing is really good on the Thompson chain of lakes just west of Kalispell on highway 2. Lot's of good camping for travelers too. Have a good one! griz | |

Oh, winter has settled in over here so I'm farting around a lot more on the computer. I noticed Hodakaguy's new project thread and I was thinking about posting a blurb on a build I did back in spring 2004. My cousin's kids had ridden the snot out of this little KTM and kept trying to literally repair it with bailing wire. Well, bailing wire won't make an airtight seal on the intake while also holding the carb in place. In a nut shell, it was a basket case but had good bones. I took it apart, cleaned it up, bought some new gaskets and fasteners and taught a bunch of little kids how to ride during the summer's family reunion. It was a good project without breaking the bank and provided priceless memories that summer! | |
