2014 Naches Campout Ride - Fun Stuff

Had a great time at Naches last weekend with Mike and Chris.  The weather was perfect and the traction was great!  Can't wait to head back again next spring.  

Made it to Naches.  Chris was already there and had camp all set up with fire wood etc.  Now to get on the bikes and hit the trails :-)

Hmmm....this hand guard is coming loose.  This was Mikes shake down run with the 525 after installing all the accessories on it.






Made it up to Ravens Roost. Mike has some great pics from here that he'll post up

Back at camp.  Mikes fan wasn't running so a little maint was in order, ended up being a blown fuse.




Getting dinner made....BBQ steaks and french bread.  Yummmm




And then hang around the fire and relax.




Woke up to a brisk morning....used my finger nail to write in the ice that formed on Mikes seat.






Rode up to Aardvark hill, it was slick and nasty. Played on the hill for a while then worked our way back to the van as we had to roll out early :-(

Had a great time, can't wait to get back up there again! We need to make a spring Naches ride/camp next year!

I had a blast and it was my first time up to naches the weather was awesome...no dust and plenty of sun!



 




At the top of reavens roost (about 6000ft) we ran in to 6-7'' of snow and veiws....  










As for the muddy handgaurd, theres some helmet cam video of me doing that (coming soon) not sure what happened, either I choked or my bike wanted to lay down and take a nap

Looks like a fun trip. I can't see the pics on the 2nd post though.

I froze my ass off the first trip.  No way could I have made it through the night if you have frost.   I did get a new sleeping bag a couple months ago...but I don't think it's rated for cold...LOL.

wasn't cold riding in fact i sweated my butt off.... sleeping wasn't an issue cause the heat was up in my westy
