An old newbie in Tacoma

Hello All,

Welcome from University Place, if your a golfer you know where that's at. If your not, it's south of Tacoma on Puget Sound. I have been riding bikes/quads/three wheelers since 1985. The last 10 years I have been cruising the highways on a touring bike but have been itching to head up all those forest service roads I pass. To help cure that desire I picked up a DR 650 in December and went out to promptly have the bike fall on me and break my foot. While sitting on the couch healing I was able to farckle up the ride getting it ready for when I could ride again.

I have had a  number of dual sport bikes in the past, Honda Transalp and a couple of DR350's. I also have a Jeep Wrangler that I have been using on the local trails and can't wait to get up the Naches and Fortune Creek areas with the bike to see the difference.
