| Decided to do some of the usual maintenance items today. The tear down begins with tank & seat removal. Cleaned some dirt and crude off first, more to clean while it's apart. I then adjusted the valves, added a new spark plug, cleaned the air filter and cleaned out the gas tank. I can see the dirt being in the tank, but weeds too.....really? Next up....Sub frame removal to get the rear shock out for servicing and a new 11.0 kg Eibach spring.

| It is that time of year. I just R&R'd my carburetor on my WR this week. I will be pulling all of the suspension apart and greasing all of the bushings and bearings next. | |

| Fit the new Eibach spring. Now, it's time for servicing. Matt from M-Tech is doing my shock re-build. New seals, oil, nitrogen charge and compression/rebound shim stack re-valve. 2 spanner wrenches made the job much easier. But, not without a pipe wrench handle on each one for some added leverage. *** Sorry for the shitty pic ***

| Back together with newly rebuilt and re-valved rear shock & heavier spring. Just need to adjust the pre load on the spring to get the sag set right. I can't wait to give it a rip again. | |

Hodakaguy Thanks Hodakaguy! I finally got a spare set of wheels laced up. It took a while to find another rear hub. I just need a rear disc and a sprocket. Now, it's time for some new tires.....

| I found a used stock rear rotor from a guy in Mesa, it should be here next Wednesday. I also got a new sprocket, bolts, spacers and bearings/seals. I should finish them up tomorrow after the wheels are trued up and the tires are mounted/balanced. | |

I also got a new sprocket, bolts, spacers and bearings/seals. Where'd you get your bolt kit from? Either of you two guys have the swing arm nut wrenches you might be willing to loan for the cost of shipping? I tried making my own but butchered a couple sockets. Ended up putting the bike back together with the original bolts and you guys just reminded me I never pulled the swing arm. At the time, it seemed like new with no evidence of corrosion, grinding, binding etc. I forced oil into the spaces a few times and called it good. But that was two summers ago, need to take the bike down again this winter to replace some buggered fasteners and clean it up. Regards, griz

I got the sprocket bolt kit from RM - Rocky Mountain ATV/MC when I ordered up a sprocket and some other bits. I need to round up those swing arm tools myself. Looking out my window........

I wore the paint off the inside of my can from G-outs with my kid onboard. Or my subframe/exhaust mounting bracket is tweaked more than I thought Thanks for the reminder to put in my new sparky-plug this weekend too! griz

| Dialing in the XRR a little bit more. I adjusted and lubed the clutch cable. And, I bought new front & rear stainless steel braided brake lines. It was a bitch to get the new line bled out. No amount of lever pulling to pump it out would work. I had to use a syringe full of brake fluid and back flush from the caliper up to the master cylinder. That technique worked great. Rear line installed. | |

| Oh that looks really nice. I have the HRC insert too, does the downturn help with the full throttle bark? | |

| I hhave a Baja Designs quiet insert in mine, which looks a lot like your turn down, except it has a bunch of smaller diameter tubes of different lengths inside. It really quiets the bark! Not sure if they make it anymore, but it is the best design of quiet insert I have ever seen. | |

I have been watching for one of those for a very long time
