False alarm! No planned riding going to happen today
Drove the kids down to the school bus to find the left rear tire on the Subaru is 75% deflated. Oh well, looks like I need to run into town to get the flat fixed, rotate and balance, and pick up my eye glasses. Then the teenage daughter (Grrrrr) calls from the bus to let us know she forgot her tennis racket for practice today - there's another trip I wasn't planning.
My commuter car, the Geo mobile seems to have lost some major seal again. Valves were clacking away yesterday so I checked the oil to find there was none. After putting two quarts in a three or four quart system, it still wasn't touching the dip stick (pun intended).
Last fall the camshaft seal puked all my oil into the timing belt housing, based on the stream of oil flowing out the bottom of the timing belt cover it looks like my valve train oil passages are not flowing and pressurized the seal again.
My Friday is full which means Saturday is homework day
If its not 20 degrees Saturday, like this morning, I may try to escape for a lunch time spin on Saturday per the above ride notice.Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts, LOL
