| this is montey carlo meadows, the south fork road is a main road that offers all kinds of terrain, from trees across it, to mud holes that appear from no where , to deer, moose, bear walking out in front of you. this was the first test of the 990 with knobbies an i loaded all my bags with enough stuff to live here for a year. | |

| the new knobbies really transformed the 990 in the mud an on dirt roads, however at the 6300' level, about a half mile above the cabin the knobbies some how didn't feel that good. probably could have made it around, but didn't want to take a chance on dumping the big beast. ,i can still do it but ,an ''erection'' of this size is not easy, especially if it is on the down hill side. and i was up here for about 3 hours an never seen another person. a picture of the skull&crossbones hill side will have to wait until the next trip | |

oooh ya , these things are a blast, an they haul ass!! i've geared mine down 1 tooth on the front for dirt roads. i really don't see a need to do 140mph in the dirt , 120 is enough! | |
