| Sorry for the short notice. I really need to give my bike some love first, but I''ve got work to do tonite after this... Looks like it's just Husaberg J and I at the main staging area at Walker. If anyone can make it later, just let us know and we can swing back thru the staging area to pick you up at a predetermined time. All skill levels welcome (I'm a slow first year rider, J's fast). We usually go to Skagit River Brewery for debriefing. Everyone is invited. Will most likely go next week, Wed or Thursday. | |

| They don't want to go because it takes more than a week to get new parts they will break. You know Naches. You guys ride a lot I wish I could go! You also go to a brewery afterward? Sweet! | |

I think Tom calls that a debriefing KTM KJ couldn't make it so it ended up being just Husaberg J (my wife's brother) and myself. Conditions were perfect. Recent rains left some good little water features, moistenned up the ground for a perfect overall surface and kept the dust down. While on the trail, we encounterred only one group of three quads and that was it from 4:30 to 8:30. Husaberg J had been working on my buddies GasGas ('04fse450, set up a little differently than mine) and brought it along to give to me to give back to my buddy. At about 7:30 he flatted on the 'berg and decided to take out the other GasGas. "Muddled Meanderings" has some steep sections that have been paved with ecology block pavers to help against watershed erosion (I really like that trail). Certain sections of the brick pavers were wet. I was watching J get squirrely with the rear knobby where he is always firmly planted with the Pirelli Trials tire. Especially on the couple of uphill hairpins. With the trials tire you can loft the front end over the watershed drains on the brick pavers even when wet, going up hill , while the knobby gets squirrely on those same sections and then spins out on the corners . The tire made such a difference (along with all the other variables that come along with J riding a strange bike) I was able to gap J on Meanderrings. You really need to know how much faster he is than I to realize the magnitude of that statement. (I asked him if he saw how high up onto a particular rock face my line was and he said no because he couldn't keep up with me at all). I'm not bragging, just trying to point out why guys say "it's ike cheating" when they put on a good trials tire. The LifeStyles Honda Off Road Team was there. A talented looking bunch. I've never seen guys use all the big rocks in the staging area as jumps before. They made it look easy. After hitting the quarter wash to spray down the other GasGas before giving it back to my buddy, we hit the Skagit River Brewery for debreifing. The Skuller's IPA was quite refreshing and the Maui Pizza provided the perfect recovery nutrition. Had we not debreifed, I would not have even known that J crashed the Husaberg just after a miraculous save blah blah blah. Debreifings are good; we need to know these things. Hope to see some of you next week, Wednesday or Thursday. | |

| Bump for tomorrow, Thursday again. Incase you're looking around the staging area wondering who these middle aged hoods are, I may have my Astro van instead of my new old f-150. Husaberg J will have a white minvan with trailer.

| Bump for Thursday 26th @ 4:30.
You'll know it's us, for one thing, there's no one else there most of the time. And also, how many times do you come across a GasGas and a Husaberg together out in these parts, fer realz.
