smog mod, jetting?

So i removed the smog stuff from my bike for "off road use" and it wouldnt idle. I turned up the idol screw and now it idols. I dont have the $ just yet for the jd jet kit, but do i need to atleast change the pillot jet and of main jet for now and what should the mixure screw be set at for now. I wil be getting a jet kit real soon , just need a temp set up for now. Oh ya my bike is a 2011 ktm 450 exc

This is what I found out when did my D-smog on my DR650 = It would not run much off idle until you put the DJ kit in it. I dont know if its the same with the KTM's or not. But when I got her dialed in, she sprang to life.( Gas milage sufferd. )

I ordered the DJ Kit, Shane. When do you want to put the block-off plates and jetting kit in? We have BB practice Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th, game 20th, Practice 22nd, Triple Header on Sat the 23rd. Then we are finally done. So, how about some time after this week? Thanks again for waiting for Cameron and I. People were still arrive at 4:45, so Cameron and I bolted to avoid the storm last night. I installed the DJ kit in my XR650L along with the smog block off plates and a FMF exhaust, it made a big improvement in the low and mid range, the kit also comes with a new needle and slide spring, I had to file down the mixture screw tab so it could be turned past the stop on the carb bowl, just got back from the winom 100 trail ride and it worked great even at 5000 ft ,,,,
