Hey thanks again, your generosity overwhelmed me last night. Have a great time with MDC, weather is about the same here today. Gonna go see a movie with the fam and burn the midnight oil to get some work done this evening. I'm looking forward to taking a spin this afternoon (had a heavy frost this morning). griz

| Came home from town today to find this in the garage I kinda know what it is, but sure is nice to have a surprise! Jer must have spent a half hour crunching up newspaper to make sure this thing didn't so much as get a scratch! I haven't met you in person Big Jer, but I like you already And did I say a LOT of paper? Oh yah! | |

| My son says it is starting to look like a street bike. I may need to build two different strap on systems. One for general putting around and maybe the original offroad version for more serious trail riding. Hmmm, decisions... | |

- it made it in 1 piece!! i like the smiley face so i was thinkin you might want to cut the bottom part off ?, it looks really good from the operators seat. if you get bored you can always read some of the news papers an get all caught up on the last 6 months of news in washington
Looks like I'll definitely need to cut some of the bottom off. If I lower the stock headlight assembly back down into the pins, the side of the windscreen hangs up on the tank. The windscreen looks so much better in person I really hate to cut it up. I instantly had thoughts of harvesting a used headlamp and mask to attach the whole thing to. Sadly, unless a person can go all the way with a custom rally style, dedicated desert runner or bitchen nekkid SM; our beloved XR's are cursed with generic red functionality. We can put as much red lipstick on them as we can afford, but they're still just a big red pig. I kinda knew I'd be cutting after just looking at it. It'll look good too, with a little edge trim in the right spots and some black out paint to hide what's behind it. I'm playing with images of windscreens like the clear one you have for your BRP, to get the shape right. Once it's cut off you can't put it back (well I could, but welding plastic is a pain in the tush).
