new gurl on a bike!

I have a new-to-me 09 klr650. Have only 250 miles on it so far, I live in Clark County. Having a blast and can't wait to get into the mountains, to the beach, go camping, meet other riders who are good people and want to do the same.
Need some recommendation for a decent tailbag that doesn't make you look like a dork. I bought the soft saddlebags and then learned you need framework for them. Duh.
I've always been on the track and trails so the street is new, but I love love love it.

Check out the Giant Loop Luggage, it would fit perfect on your KLR. Waterproof, doesn't get in the way, no framework ect. We used the GL luggage on our 1100 mile off road ride last year and it worked flawless!

Welcome, soon there will be more klrs than ktms and we Will slowly begin taking over better to join us now and stop the bloodshed. Oh yeh, I almost forgot the Honda's. The Yamaha's can stay, they still look like klrs.

As far as luggage goes, Hodakaguy nailed it. I don't think you will find a better fitting, nicer quality product that what the guys over at Giant Loop produce.

I think I like that Great Basin gear bag. It seems to say it fits over your saddle in the same place a passenger would sit. I wonder if that leaves room for a tail box too?
The newer KLRs have that cool tail plate. Seems like a waste to not use it.

So another question.... How does a newbie find people to ride with in their area. Like days rides or overnight into the mountains etc? Are there other women riders on the forum? (not that I wouldn't want to ride with guys you know..
