| ah, yes starting the xt, i had a tt about the same year. i used the little window the first few times until i got the feel of things. if you don't know what your doin, boy could that thing kick back!! great bikes. | |

| My wife has the same thing, but a '79. She can start it really good except after she has gone over the bars, or some such. Then I help. They are easy to start........if you know the procedure. Looks nice Hauler. Troy341 | |

Thanks a bunch! It will always start it in two or three kicks, most times one kick. I find if its hot, it starts harder than when it is cold. I guess that is why they put the hot start button on the carb, from the factory, which just cracks the throttle a hair. | |

| Thats a nice clean lookin bike! Where did you find 6-volt minis or are they just for looks? I am impressed that your lady rides that thing, not the most nimble bike. | |

| The turn signals are from the previous owner and are just for looks. I believe that Christine has wiped them off on some rocks since that pic was taken. She is a strong girl, but I did buy her a XT250 recently to make things a bit easier on the single track. Troy341 | |
