Went for a VERY little ride today...

First thing first....since I still don't have a spare...made sure the key stays in the ignition!

All loaded up.


And a close up of the reason I'm going on a ride. Been on the bike for over 2weeks(?) and just now scrubbing them in.


I'm trying to get in to the snow line...looking good.




This looks like a good enough spot to unload

I'm thinking there is way too much snow...but since I came all this way...I'll unload and ride around a little

Took off down the road. Here's the first gravel road I came to.


Didn't make it more then a quarter mile (probably less) Wasn't even sure if this was the road I wanted.


Since there was too much snow to have any fun...decided to ride all the way down to the end of the road. Stopped and took a bunch of pictures along the way since there wasn't much else to take pictures of.




It really doesn't look that bad. Think I was cruisen along almost 40mph on the straights...no problems.


Even this stuff that was compact ice didn't really pose any threat.

And lastly, I was trying to get a header shot...but just can't compare to Chris's, his is awesome

So anyway...that is why I didn't call anyone. This was a scouting mission that didn't pan out at all. Fun little ride, but way to short, too much snow, and too little trail.

Yes...are you going tomorrow? Not really happy with people flinging screws all over the trails thou.

Thanks T.Low for the tip. Doesn't smell very good....but works like a CHARM!! Also feels good on a freezing cold face. LOL

Nice to know I'm good for something. Next weekend my wife will be 8 1/2 months pregnant...well more like 8 4/5 (I was never good with fractions unless I had a real pizza to practice with). I think I'm still out. Crap.

I see you made it to my old stomping grounds. Not very many roads to ride in INDEX....

Looking forward to spring and getting together to ride out of Skykomish. Great starting off point to do Stevens pass, Jacks Pass area and some others.

i could probably hook up in skykomish, when does the ridding there get good. i really would like to do some ridding on that side. Skykomish isnt all that far from here.

I would have to see a map of where said mines are, but I'm guessing the answer would be "technically no".
*there is some weird shit back there and i would be hesitant to poke around. the hills have eyes.
