2011 Desert 100

Looks like a few of us from up here in Bellingham will be makeing the trip again this year!
Hope to meet some of you there...
Here is a little something to get you primed up for the trip!!!

I'm in. I have really had fun the last few years. I was just talking with someone about it today, and how great it is to hang out with like 5-6000 other like minded folks for a couple of days.

Has anybody done the DS ride on Saturday?
If so how was it?
I'm thinking about going and taking both bikes and DS saturday and racing on Sunday.

When we went in 09 the ride was about 120 miles and there was one morre small loop we didnt do. Its a good time for sure! The manditory stop at the brewery is a nice touch to finish up the ride as well. I think we did a loop on the iron man course as well so you should get a little preview for the race on sunday. There is a good mix of trail and road and you get to see a couple of nearby towns and the surrounding area.

Sound like a great ride, I better start planing.

i would be intrested in the DS ride if i go again this year. Did the poker run last year and had a blast, but my big DR and its suspension ( i am a big guy) was not built for that kind of terrain. lots of woops. camping was fun, the beer was easy to keep cold

still trying to figure out if i want to go

But I plan on just going for the day.

im stoked on this ride. i might be pulling my self apart though on whick ride to do. either the ironman poker run or the DS run . im sure both of them count as a ride on the member poker ride that gives a new bike away at the end of the year

You ride one lap of the iron man course at the start off the dual sport poker run. Best of both worlds.

i guess you can stay that. damn this cold rain is terrible last night i was in 82 degree wheather. but i can say it does feel god to be home.

i cant wait to ride with all you boys again up there.

Should be a fun time! Toying with the idea if draggin the shagon wagon over with me so we got a warm place to hang our at night!? Gets pretty cold at night and windy. The truck needs a bit of work tho before I want to make that trip. I guess I had better get on that soon. Sounds like Shane (dr650), Brad (the cook from the darrington ride), Reinrod and myself. Maybe a couple others but I havnt talked to them yet.

Shane, you're gonna go, and you're gonna have fun just like last year. Change your rear spring to a stiffer one and quit whining about the whoops. Lets make sure we also bring a spare 1/2 gal of rum for Darren!

I am pretty sure Darrin isnt going. I already asked

50% in, trying to get my bro-in-law on the wagon. ( he got the travel trailer) he sais he is in so we just have to work out the details.

do you think the temp will be in the 80's. it was hard to find my pecker last year !

its just around the corner, it is the weekend of april 9th my little brother in law will be doing the ironman poker run saturday. who all is going ? i think it will be fun to get a group of us for camping.

Most of the Rambo Riders are still in. Only the cook is on the fence. I'll work on that though. We'll probably be leaving Bham around 5 to 5:30 AM Friday and stop in Ellensberg for breakfast.

Dang..all these events are too soon...I'm not ready yet not for 2 more months. I really want to do this.

come camp with us, im sure u are well enough to ride your bike around that campground at least

That actually sounds tempting I just may do that......that will mark 4 months post surgery and they say 4 to 6 months recovery...you never know I could be a 4 monther.

dont rush it, let the leg heal. nothing rong with taking time. i never been to the D100 but i herd the start is fun to watch with all the comicozies.

Eleven days and counting!

I'm stoked! I'll be out there first thing friday morning, for three long days of dirt bike fun! Last year was a blast, this year should be even better due to the fact that I'm more in shape.
