In the middle of nowhere between Atlantic City and Rawlins in Wyoming. All we saw were wild horse and lots and lots of these guys.

In Utah outside of Junction City. This is one of my favorite all time shots.

Somewhere in the middle of Utah.

Here's a few taken in the last 3 or 4 months. I've been looking for a route from Canby to Detroit going through the foothills. Finally, after a couple of years of looking I found the way. Only have to go around 1 gate NE of Elkhorn and there's enough room to get a full sized adventure bike by it.

South Fork of the Walla Walla River in OR. Steve O. on his IT490. This was the trail I grew up on. I rode it the very first time on a 69 Honda Mini Trail 50, not this far up though! This shot was taken in the late 80's.

i grew up in wenatchee but i live in wally world now so it was kinda fun to see a S fork pic, i ride up there all the time, but wish we had MORE trails around here.

That Bend loop is one I was just talking with some friends about the other day. I use to live in Lakeview and spent a lot of time in that area but never did a big ride like that. This summer perhaps

I plan on spending a lot more time riding in the central and southeast portion of Oregon. I find great beauty in the desolation and solitude out there. Plus there's just a hell of a lot of awe inspiring riding! If you're interested I have the entire 1018 mile round trip route out of Bend on a GPS track.

The plan for this September's ride is to trailer down to Mexican Hat, Utah and have my sister drive the rig back to Portland while we follow the Utah Back Country Discovery Route south to north. Through southern Idaho on parts of the TAT. Then back across south central Oregon home. The route we have mapped out looks like around 9 or 10 days, possibly more. One of the planned night stops will be at Willow Creek Hot Springs near Fields, OR. It will feel fantastic to soak in the hot springs after so many long days on the trail!

Start the last week of August or first week of September for the UBDR.
