I think I will get my form sent in today. The A loop in the past sounds like a whoot. My wifes folks live on Lake Wenatchee so I can just ride over to the staging area from there. Any one know how many miles the A loop runs?

It is 80-100 miles every year, and you can get gas at Ardenvoir about halfway. Good way to learn new routes in the area. Been doing it for years.

is it all dirt roads? if so i am in i just dont like long stretches of pavement on these dualsport runs

Yea, I believe mostly dirt, with maybe very short stretches of pavement. You will be fine. There are diffrent options for skill level from all roads to tight trail ! ( I think) I have been told by anyone who has done it that it is a blast. They also have roll charts so get a chart holder, there less then $20.00

sounds good to me. we got a camping spot for the weekend? or u guys staying at your parents place on the lake?

which is the harder course, the A or AA ? and what is the skill level required for both. I can single track, but ? would love to try a little single trakin again, just need to come into it slow. Would hate to break my bike again ! ( and/or my man hood )

i believe they did not turn anyone away last year i just hope enough snow has melted. i went to evens creek orv yesterday and the campground was still snowed in.

OK, here it is. this is the road just below Sugarloaf look out. There is 18-24" of snow on the road. we had to ride on the side of the raod just to make it this far. If we can have some hot weather this week, you should be able to make it up there by next weekend. We will see. the trails might be intresting. They dirtyface might be intresting. It will be a blast.

Here are a few pics from saterday. The loop ended up being all most being 140 miles and we only lost one guy in our group do to a chain and sprocket issue. Crankin might need help with a chain and sprocket !

We all had a good time and crankin did make it back, He can tell the storie. I will be doing it again next year. Heard a couple people were running out of gas because of the length of the last part. I had to switch to reserve to make it back. weather was perfect !

your right there shane. a little rain the night before kept the dust down. too bad about single track being closed down. the 130+ miles made me glad i had a 5.5 gal tank on the klr. one of our groups riders ran out of gas just as he hit the pavement toward the end. there must have been some good karma out there because not more than 20 miles before, we stopped to help a guy with a busted clutch lever.(one of us had a spare) turnes out the guy caught up and gave him gas. he said he was returning the good deed for helping with the clutch. we also rode 60+ miles the day before to check out sugarloaf and some of the other single tracks. must have hopped over a dozen logs or so but we made it. very deceptive mud. as slick as that was, when you got through that there was still ice under that. what an adventure. too many pics for here so i have a link to 165 pics of the ride. i have the black klr.

what about that hairy corner towards the end. all i saw was about twenty people watching with shiteating grins on the faces and cameras fixed on the corner so i knew something was up. i slowed way down and lucky i did. i guess 4 people went over the edge.
