2nd PNWDS Naches Ride Sept 9th-11th

Ok I did a quick search but did not find any posts about a Naches ride this year? Planning my vacation time this summer and was wondering where the big get together is this year? I missed last years .

Anyone in the "know" want to comment?

Maybe like early September late August? The problem with middle of summer is lots of people are tied up with family functions.

I like the late August idea as the temps are usally good and the bugs usally are not as bad as in the spring early summer. I have never made it over to that area so I am clueless as to what the riding conditions are for each time of year.

I have a big trailer (35 ft) and my other friend has a (36 ft RV) which I suspect means we will have to find a camp ground a little ways away to fit us so if anyone knows of the best area for us let me know. We are set up to dry camp for extended periods of time.

We will also be making a Fox creek trip in the middle of September for anyone who is intrested in a ride and hanging out. (Thru thru Sat).

Regarding camping facilities, Kaner Flat campground is a nice paved campground located right on the Little Naches Rd. It is dry camping, but very nice. Up the road a couple of more miles is Longmire Meadows. It is dirt and grass and situated right by the Little Naches River. Not as clean or nice as Kaner Flat, but popular.

Like YamWow, I vote for late August or early September. It was a blast last time, and should be a blast this time. It would be especially nice to see all the great folks we had last year! +1 on Kaner flat for the real big RV's, as it is very close to Crow creek Campground. If you don't mind taking your RV in the dirt, you might even find room just outside of Crow Creek Campground. I have seen large RV's camped off the side of the dirt road that leads to Crow Creek. There is also campsites back off the other side of the dirt road that leads to Crow creek that can accommodate large RV's.

since my camping trip to manastash was canceled due to washout closure, i might be in if you can firm up a date. i just need 2 trees to set up a hammock tent.

I'll go if I can fit it in. Looks like a good time.

We seem to be pretty booked for July and August, but Sept has some time open. I'll most likely camp out of the van, unless the wife and kiddo want to go, then probably bring the little travel trailer.

Let's do early sept. should be a little cooler, and more people able to go it sounds like. i didn't go with you guys last year, but have been there once before. would love to go this year with a group.

We all traveled lite last time, but honestly nothing went on where the women and kids wouldn't fit in....except we where riding 90% of daylight hours and drinking the other 10%(?)
