| My XR is currently stock other than being slighty uncorked. Parts are on the way and will soon begin trickleing in. I'll post before and afters (pics)and maybe in betweens here if needed. So far my shopping list includes:
Baja Designs 250W Stator, Trailtech X2 Black dual sport light, Highway Dirtbikes Handguards/blinkers/mirrors, LED taillight insert, Battery (don't know what size and where I'm putting it yet), Ricky Stator reg/rec, and all the other little bits and pieces....
Don't know what tires I'm using yet either....

| Hi Ernie, you'll love it, they make great street bikes. Here is mine, which had the full BD kit installed when I got it. I added the 19" front wheel from an NX250 and run Shinko 705 tires, they work great! | |

| That's a cool XR! What kind of tank?
I'm not planning on going Supermoto with this one, just DOT knobbies.

| That will make it faster, but also pretty loud. I have a similar end cap, Honda un-cork, but also have the Baja Designs quiet tip insert. Which cuts the noise a lot, but not the power. It's a very good design, but a shame they seem to have stopped making them!? | |

| Cool, as luck would have it I know how to weld. With that picture I could probably fab one or two up sometime if I am unhappy with the volume of the can..... | |

| Been busy on ADV and XR650Rforum posting updates and forgot about this one! Wiring, stator install, 606's, X2, HDB, all done. Waiting on rear fender support and rack from ManRacks for license plate and mudflap mounting point and it's off for inspection! I need to tack weld the tip back in until I get the HRC carb isolator then rejetting and untacking. That'll wait until after I get the plate anyway.... Then more tweaking of the wiring harness to get rid of the big lump of wires, tape and connectors behind the light and under the seat. | |

| That horn has got to go elsewhere for sure! They take pics as part of the inspection process so the folks in Oly or where ever know everything is on the up and up. So better to keep it visible until I get my plate methinks... | |

| Don't forget rear fender extension and reflectors.
Full RCW46.61.705 compliance for at least the inspection is recommended.
I got a call from Senate committee staff yesterday and that was one of the topics he brought up.
If certain people think that we are not fully compliant with the law, the conversion law will change.

| Soon as I get my Manracks rear fender brace I'll have the mounting point for a mudflap under the license plate and I can place the plate light once I have the location sorted. I think that should do the trick for the fender extension, I don't know about the reflectors part. The shop hasn't said anything about that one, how many required and where to place??? | |

| "Every motorcycle and motor-driven cycle shall carry on the rear, either as part of the tail lamp or separately, at least one red reflector meeting the requirements of RCW 46.37.060." It appears the above would have been enough. But thanks for the link. I probably have one kicking around in the junk in the garage that has come off of the other bikes I've owned. Funny, if it's a Harley it could cruise around without mirrors, blinkers, bars way too high, tuperware bowl helmet and a barely visible taillight and the man probably never would bother them. | |

| Congrats, they make a pretty good urban assault vehicle with some streetish DS tires, but still very dirt capable if dry. | |
