Another XRR in Portland

Hey everyone. I've been working on my XRR and posting on the XR650R Forum. Stumbled upon this form which will be great for hooking up with people in the Pacific Northwest and finding local resources. So here I am.

Long story short; had on 04' SV650 I rode for 15k miles, sold it and bought an 09' ZX6R. Rode it for 18,000 miles then bought an SM-630. The 630 was a huge disappointment to me. Google 'SM-630' if you cant find my review there is no hope for you... So I sold the 630 and put the ZX on the race track. Got hooked on the race track and bought another 11' ZX6R to keep as my street bike. Took the race track to the street and won myself a super sweet highway patrol award. Had a couple beers, sat myself down in the garage and had a talk. We decided it would be in my and my driving records best interest to go race track only for the super sports. So I sold the 09' ZX to a buddy, am converting the 11' ZX to track only and bought an 05' XR650R for playing in the woods.

The XR650R is awesome and I love it. Went for my first real ride last Sunday and boy do I need a better seat. My backside and arms and legs for that matter are still sore, it was awesome.

I play around in the Timothy Lake, Ripplebrook, Molalla, Detroit area quite a bit. So if you see an XRR pass you with a guy sporting a $h!t-eat'n grin that'd be me so make sure to say hello.

Welcome to the forum. Might have to get down to that area to ride sometime. Any pics you can post?

I'm working on getting some good pictures of the area. I want to get some cool GoPro footage too. Not just riding but dabble with some cinematography. But this is all I've got from last weekend. I was mostly concerned about making sure the bikes running right than taking pics.

It's been difficult keeping the front tire on the ground. I love this bike

Welcome and congrats on the XRR. I skimmed your 630 review and it sounded sad and expensive. You'll be glad to hear my XRR makes over 50 at the rear wheel with very few tweaks and tears up sport bikes at track days (in the 200 group and I'm an instructor, so?). :)
