Twas the last open weekend and all was quiet.
Pulled into our sekrit spot and started unloading. Within minutes you could hear the elk!! Wow, all day long you could hear the calls, see the prints and rubs. Pretty cool. Actually saw and followed a herd for a second or two.
Just a buddy and me since others canceled. Had a great time even though we did some things backwards. Like Mt. Lilly(?), didn't reallize we went up the wrong side until going down. Missed going up the fun switchbacks.
Was messing with my gopro the day before. Totally pissed with battery life so switched up some settings. The good thing is now battery life is extended pretty good. Bad news is the new camera angle was totally fucked up. Over an hours worth of good stuff was pretty much looking at my helmet and ground. Only saved a few still shots from all the footage. I think the first three are all on Mt. Lilly going down.
Buddy StateFarm did awesome with the map since I had no clue
Second switchback i think
approching the 3rd. Way more fun going up then down.
*oops, wrong photo. Guns of death don't belong here.
Taking break after the rock garden we crossed on the sekrit trail. Was not happy with those rocks.
Last pic *my tummy seems to be getting bigger..lol
We are actually trying to plan a real dualsport ride somewhere around Stampede Pass before the snow hits. I will try to post up details before the ride.
