| I'm not sure if I'm going to be posting this in the correct location but here goes anyways. A riding buddy of my told me about this site and I joined last night. I;m live and ride in North Central Washington state. We have the best of tow worlds here as we are on the eastern edge of the Cascade Mtn range. We can ride the mountains where we have thousands of miles of forest roads or single track. Then if one has the urge for a good challenge of killer rocks, sandy soil and large sagebrush you can travel south east and ride the basin area.
My very first dirt bike was a Orange Yamaha 60. I currently ride two different bikes. A '02 Honda XR650L. It has many mods and is basically an "R" now. iIt even has a GPR stabilizer with Carmichael fat bars and grip warmers, a must for around here during early spring and late fall riding at the 5000 ft level.. I nicknamed my 650 Big Red. Big Red has about 5000 single track miles under its skid plate. Very challenging considering its size and weight, but none the less very enjoyable. I did lower it 1" to aid in center of gravity control and dropped down to a 14 tooth on front.
This winter I made an addition to my bike family and bought a Honda CRF450X. I absolutely love this bike. It kicks butt on single track and climbs like there's no tomorrow. My years of riding the 650 have drastically improved my riding skills as I rode the 650 in places most riders would not.
Anyone that has any questions for me feel free to hit me up.

| The more I hear about wenatchee the more I want to ride some trails in that area. I've been there several times for bike purchases and mini vacations, but never trail rides. Welcome. | |

| Thanks guys for all the positive comments. Boy, was my spelling gruddy! Does anyone in our region know about the Dirty Face Dual Sport Run? Its put on by the LAKE WENATCEE REC CLUB. The LWRC does an outstanding job with the event. It is a charted course and is typically approximately 110-120 miles, plus the LWRC incorporates a poke run into the event along with roll charts.
Check it out, the event is held on Fathers Day weekend each year. The Forrest service restricts the event to 200 riders so pre-registration is a must. The have a web site.
Once again thanks for accepting me into your club/group!
