So I took advantage of the REI $199 deal for the 60csx. Worked great off road in Naches last weekend. But now i need a way to mount it to the KLR. Where do i find a ram mount? Or do you recommend some other way?

Checked out gpscity.com. Do you all use the u-bolt style, the one that replaces a handlebar bolt, or one that bolts to the master cylinder? I kinda like the first two options so the gps will be near the other gauges. Also, I found the topo 24k software and the mapsource/basecamp software. Are they the same?

I have the u bolt style ram mount. seems to do the job as good as anything else I could find. the GPS is pretty handy as far as location. my only concern is that there isn't much for vibration dampening/reduction.

And, don't rely on the cradle alone to keep it secure.

Tether that thing to the bars too. :2cents:

I have had a Ram mount on my snowmobile for several years for my old sport trak and it is a very tuff mounting system. Will get one for my bike as well some day.
