| Welcome! And Shane already covered it, there is no way to link Birch to anywhere else. If you want to get from Wenatchee to Lake Wenatchee, or anywhere else on the North side of Hwy. 2 for that matter, gotta head up Swakane. My favorite riding area for sure. If you want to go up there, let us know and many of us would like to join. | |

Are you sure? I have heard, (but can't confirm) that there is a way through from up there. There is a little goat trail at the end of the road on Burch that heads down to the end of Swakane, but I was too chicken to go on it without walking it first. Can one of you guys try it and report back? Last fall I rode out of a buddy's place in Cashmere/Monitor area, and we ended up at the top of Burch. It was across some private land that he has permission to ride. I would think that is a way to do it also, but again it was private land... | |

| That little goat trail is exactly that. You could walk it, but I'd never take a bike down it. | |

| Well, I have ridden to the end of the road several times, and it gets very steep out there towards Nahahum. I'm not saying it can't be done, but you wont catch me trying it anytime soon. There aren't any established riding trails or roads past the end, other than a very narrow deer path. | |
