Bark Busters are a general term for hand guards with the metal bars in them. They do a great job of keeping tree limbs etc from smashing into your hands, they also offer some protection for your levers in case of a fall. I'm running Cycra Pro Bends on my bike but there are LOTS of different choices out there. Hodakaguy

Nice bike and area! Like Hodakaguy said, Barkbuster is used as a generic term for hand guards, but is also an actual brand/product.
