Knee update

Ok so I got the results of the mri and my acl appears to be ok but I torn up the cartilage on the inner part of the knee so I still have to have surgery but orthoscopic rather than reconstruction..so that's. Better news. I should be riding again around april.. about perfect timing.

What happened? Did not hear about your knee. Hope you heal up fast and well after surgery, there's lots of riding that needs to get done!

Make sure you don't F-around with the therapy and listening to the doc about what not to do.

+2 knee surgerys for me, took me about a year an a half to feel compfortable on un even ground the first time, but it was quite a bad injury. orthoscopic on the other knee, heeled up alot quicker. wasn't as bad to start with,buuuuut i don't think they did as good of job. still gives me trouble. just take it easy, ya got all winter to heal up. good luck i couldn't work for about 6 months, almost.......almost, turned in to a raging alcholic , alchol sure makes those pain pills work better

this will be my second knee surgery. I had acl and menescus reconstruction on my other knee 12 years ago and it took a good year to feel confident on it. this time is just orthoscopic, so should be a quicker recovery both physically and mentally. I guess technology has greatly improved in 12 years , but on the flip side i am 12 years older im not 22 any more. I'll just invest in a couple on good knee braces to ride with(crap i cant believe i just said that, knee braces.....me.... boy has time and injuries taken its tole on me, next thing you know i'll be wearing a kidney belt, actually that doesnt sound like a bad idea.. wait what i'm not there yet.) The stupid thing is I hurt it playing flag football... the even stupider thing is i hurt it warming up went for a short pass and miss planted on the step then pop and down i went.. the last game of the season, figures. I'll be back!

Get it done now....you'll be ready for the prime riding season

Orthoscopic surgery is Dec 14. Should be healed up just in time

Heading to my knee surgery this morning. I'll tell you how it went.

Surgery went well. Very large tear needed to be fixed. So 4 weeks on crutches. 6 month recovery. Good people at tricity orthopedic
