| I may be up for this... cuppala questions: Is this Shell station right in Mattawa or out by the highway? Will I need to be street legal? I ask because I've always ridden the trail bike at Mattawa and it isn't very legal. It is, however, the correct weapon for that terrain! | |

Shell station is on the other side of Mattawa (last building in town on the left?)...It takes about 10sec to drive through lol. I'm 90% sure you only need tags.

| Inspector is right, should be the last place on the left in 'downtown' Mattawa. Address is 723 Government Rd. From I-90, head south on Hwy 243, take a left on RD 24 SW, and head up the hill. This goes through town, and the Shell station is just on the left. The jump off point for the ride is just a little further down the road on the left. It is called R SW. Head up that hill, and there is a parking area where we can unload and gear up. I have included a link to Google maps of the Shell station location. (I still don't know how to post a picture from Google Maps) http://tinyurl.com/32hngrt | |

| that weekend sounds real tempting. just that mattawa has a lot of sand right? the 230 dont have enough power to stay a float on top of the sand it just sinks lol. i got a house i can stay at right on moses lake so that would be an easy drive over from mosses. | |

It has everything. Rocks, sand and dirt. https://pnwdualsport.forumotion.net/adventure-reports-f7/mattawa-t244.htm

| It is sandy but should be packed down with recent rains. There are sand dunes down the north side of the mt. but I've never gone down there. What I do remember is lots of rocks. I think the 230 might do OK if it has good knobbie tires. | |

| Ok, not new-new, as I actually rode mattawa many years ago in the 70's, Jeeped, and Quaded since, but just got a wr250r last weekend.
Love the Mattawa area, but is this an advanced enough ride maybe I should get some more stick time first?
Otherwise I'd love to go.

Bwahaha...dude, i suck at dirt riding. You'll do fine on the roads/trails. Through the valleys the faster riders can just take off and wait or do the run twice.

i just happen to have a motorcycle carrier, i do have the motorcycle trailer, but i dont have it liscenced yet in my name. so i dont want to use it. we could meet up friday afternoon/evening somehwere near the instersection of 405 and I90 if u want to covoy over. so who all is a go on the west side?

| I guess it sort of depends on pass conditions, as I dont have chains for the truck. But I'd much rather ride pool over there, then drive by myself. I get lonely! Anyone from the west side going? | |

so who all is a go on the west side? Ah, missed this one, lets sync up next week, but I dont plan on leaving until early saturday, unless you were planning to overnight somewhere, which is cool too. If that, then I'll drive the truck and trailer to work, as I work in Redmond.

| my work has a house right on moses lake just off I90 so i was planning on staying there firday night so that way i dont have to wake up early early to get to mattawa by 9 am. its a 3 bedroom house and should be empty. being that we are working during the week over there. see we are renting the house instead of staying in a hotel for 6 months. its kinda nice | |
