| I read in the newpaper and watch on TV DIALY how hurting Washington is for money. Understanding that bike registration is very very small,, but why the hell would they wantto take back plates? Have a inspection for legal bits and noise and issue the damn plate and get the money! My XR has a plate and last summer I stopped at a cafe for lunch and righ t after I took a seat, TWO Idaho State patrols pulled in an dparked right next to my Honda. One cop walked over to it and looked it over 360 degrees. I was the only one seated with a helmet and he walked over to me and said "nice bike, I used to own one" I said thanks and asked if he rode his on the roads and he said "No that is too dangerous for me, and when those knobbies wear out, get some DOT tires on that thing..have a nice day" Two days later I was installing Shniko dual sport tires! | |

| 5800 passed in the Senate and is going to the House! - Quote :
- Congratulations! YOU are making this happen! The Senate passed it 46 to
2!!! Now to get it through the House. Please keep up the good work. WE CAN DO THIS with YOUR help.
YOUR personal Representative is on this committee and WILL PAY ATTENTION to YOU!
As you know, the WA Dept of Licensing (DOL) has been voiding license plates on dirt bikes that were previously street licensed. They have also voided license plates on some federally certified dual sport motorcycles!
Please take action on this even if it does not affect your form of OHV recreation. The CLOUT system is an OHV Positive one-for-all and all-for-one volunteer operation where ALL WA OHV users support each other when needed. PLEASE TAKE 3 MINUTES to do YOUR part.
We need a street license so we can use forest roads or ride to the forest from home using our dirt worthy motorcycles. This Bill will allow dirt bikes that have been converted to a street legal configuration to once again be street licensed in WA State! Let's Git'R Done!!!!!
Please help your OHV volunteers get this Bill passed by encouraging YOUR Representative to vote FOR SB 5800.
Please contact your legislator immediately! You can visit your legislator's website immediately by clicking this link: http://www.leg.wa.gov/house/representatives/. SAMPLE TEXT (use if it you like!) You can just copy and paste it into the form on the hot linked site:
Please pass SB 5800. With gasoline approaching $4 per gallon we need the ability to access forest roads and trails in a fuel efficient manner. Converting our trail bikes to a street legal configuration and obtaining a street license so we can ride, instead of haul our trail bikes to the trailheads, saves many, many gallons of fuel. We need the option to properly convert and license our trail bikes.
