Which Bike to Buy Empty
PostSubject: Which Bike to Buy   Which Bike to Buy Icon_minitime1/26/2009, 2:24 pm

I'm in Yakima and currently own a DRZ 400E (dirt only) which is impossible to plate here. I love the bike so, I'll keep it but I think I'd like to get into some Dual Sport evetns so, I'll need another bike. I'm leaning towards a DRZ 400SM because I'm already pretty familiar with the mechanics of the Zook and it seems to me that the SM has better suspension than the S model and I can use my dirt wheels if need be. I was wondering if anyone has a DS preference or an SM for sale.

Here's an 2006 SM on the Yakima Craigslist

Look like it's in Wapato, WA

No affiliation, just not sure if you spotted it on there yet Cool

I've got a 2001 DR Z400 kicker and a 2006 DR Z400SM (you can see it on this forum). I put dirt wheels and tires on the SM. I can tell you that the kicker is a LOT faster than the SM. But that can be changed! I'll also say that the SM in SM trim is an absolute blast to ride around town and in the twisties! Your wheels and tires off your E will fit on the SM, but you will have to use the brake disks from the SM because they are bigger than on the E. Any how, I think the SM would be a good choice, but I also really like the Huskies, but parts and service might be a problem.

Take it to Idaho, they'll plate anything.
