When I was a kid, I rode my 85 XR600 through what I thought was a mud puddle and the it turned out to be deep enough that when the bike died I was up to my chin strap in water! I had to drain the fuel tank disassemble the airbox and both carbs. Drain the oil, remove the exhaust and drain it, repack the silencer. Finally get it started again run it for a few minutes stop change the oil, run it for a few more minutes, drain the oil again repeat this process 3 more times and there you have it! Fun Fun Fun! So with that, I too choose to avoid bigger puddles epecially with a 4 smoker.
