| Releasing the rehabilitated Blue Bear back into the wild and tracking her movements. The caged beast waiting to spring from the cage. I showed up to late to get footage of the water crossing. Because of the cool weather, I don't think the bear made a spectacular fording. Most likely tip-toed through the water. Flora and Fauna. Fauna and Flora? If you look closely you can see Blue getting ready to rear up on her legs. Must have passed this way recently Ahhh, yes. There she is catching her breath. Since being caged up...it may take awhile to fully limber up. Somewhere through this mess there is a path Wolf? Cub? Dog? My tracking skills are a little rusty. Even with my lackluster skills i can follow this trail easy. Too bad this is where i must turn back. Ahhhhh! Another spotting of the Great Blue Bear. It is getting harder to keep track of this beast. The call of the wild must be answered. These tracks are fresh. The great loping stride... Next part...understanding the "Happy Dance" | |

| I've never been able to catch a "Happy Dance" in action. Only the tell-tale markings of one, such as this. O' Look. We have managed to catch up to the creature once again. Must be very quiet. These parts seem to go on for miles. I wish I could capture the sound of the moment. You can unmistakeably hear the echoes of the "Giddy Skool Girl Giggle". Throughout. Nothing stops this beast for long. LOOOK!! The biggest Happy Dance markings to date!!!!! The Giddy Skool Girl call hasn't stopped. We now come to this tight narrow trail that some how, against all odds, The Great has managed to forge through. Tic-Tac-Tracks galore Must be taking a short break? Shhhhh. Be very quiet!! Looks like she is finally starting to try and blend in with her surroundings. This is a big step. With time she will blend in seamlessly, never to be seen again. I don't think the giggling has stopped. Sometimes it almost escalates into something hysterical. Just a little more coming up next..... | |

| What have we here? A large wooden structure in the middle of nowhere. A large wooden structure the is begging to be climbed! To the top we go. A look around O. No. It seems as though the stalker has become the stalkie. (is that a word) Still looking around. Is that a house down there? Looks like a HighWay down there also. (yeah, i honestly don't really know where i am. There is a foot trail down there too, but i didn't get a picture of that) Really one of the only places that the Great Blue was out of her element. She almost skidded the entire length of this bridge. Slippery! Well, It looks like the trip is almost over. Now for just a few gratuitous snow shots. Seems as thou someone left a gate open. Lets go see where it leads. And there she is. | |

| Well I guess I can't use the "I'm not riding because of snow squalls" any more... Although a couple of those sections looked like a good pair of hiking boots might have been the better tool for the job. Glad to see somebody is riding this week and thanks for taking the time to share, love the pics And I'd say black bear - neat track pictures in the skiff of snow! Black bear followed by wolf Wolf track Black bear tracks, upper is rear, lower is front, five toes...

| ^^Thanks Griz, that's cool. I like info like that. And thanks everyone for the comments. The fresh light powder over gravel/dirt combined with a brand new 606rear was AWESOME. I seriously couldn't stop giggling cause it was so much fun.
*anything above 45mph...snow feels a little like rain. Rain feels like sleet/hail. Sleet feels like death by fire. The snow was alright cept I couldn't see very well. The rain stung. The sleet along with being cold and tired, well...that pretty much ended the ride. Luckily the worst of it was at the end of the ride anyway. | |

| Ah ok. I don't mind the fire roads, I had a good time up there last time. I wouldn't mind going to walker.. I actually just moved about 15minutes from there There's loads of fire roads up here to explore to... last time I went out I was stopped by deep snow but this summer I plan to do some more exploring. And spada lake is accessable from up here.. rode up there to a nice park a while back that was deserted | |
