i need a project

looking at some of the projects people do, i find it cool. i am thinking this is something i would like to do. i am thinking of trying to find a late 70's or early 80's dualsport to fix up. what are some good recomendations on bikes to look for. i know i had a 1981 xl250 and had alot of fun on it. i want something that is easy to find parts for and is rideable. i dont belive in letting a bike sit in a garage. cheap is the best. also, if you have anything like this post up some pics to give me some ideas. i looked on craigs list in seattle and found some pretty cool old stuff but most did not have title. whats up with that. soooo.......

Honda CT90 or trail90 or S90s are great cheap bikes to work on. bikebandit.com has lots of parts too. I have two S90s.

The old Yamaha DT's are cool bikes. I used to have a '72 DT 250, I wish I never gave it away. For older bike projects, you can't go wrong with anything from the big 4, you can get parts for most any of their models. European bikes are a little more difficult and expensive.

My brother in law has a dead DR350 in his barn in Medford. Not the street legal one though.
