I dunno much about the local suspension gurus. Heard some good things about a guy named Les Tinius of LT-Racing over in Port Orchard (I think). I've used four different suspension shops. The two I'd recommend are WER and Factory Connection. But that was when I lived back east.

That was my kinda trail ride! Too bad my outta-shape arse couldn't keep up with that grin... Or you. The only complaints were from my muscles on Monday.

| Nice! Went to clean the air filter then start the beast to warm it then change trans-fluid....air filter fell apart. Got no way of getting to the store for replacement until thursday. *bah! I give up for this weekend. Missing washer on the drain bolt too. 1 quick question...Remove drain plug and cap to drain. Replace drain plug and remove inspection bolt. Fill until oil comes out the bolt hole? That's not .75ml that they say it takes thou?!? ***edited for the billionth time...I was thinking .75litters I think. Started out putting 500ml in....wayyyy to much. ----incorrect info****edited for the billionth and one time....my asking and search has led me to the decision of....drain the sh%t and measure out .79L and pour back in. Don't use inspection bolt because it's not used for measuring.great. previous owner never put enough in. now i have to buy a measuring device since using the Pyrex measuring cup is now heavily "frowned upon". | |

| I used the inspection plug on my old Yamaha. Never had a problem. Remember, it's a 2-stroke so oil level is not as critical as with a 4-stroke. Also, get yourself a ratio-rite cup. Make measuring fluids a snap and the wife doesn't get as mad about dirty kitchen utensils.
As for the air filter, the PO probably used NoToil air filter oil. It's a decent product, but the carrier attacks the glue in some air filter causing the filter to fall apart.

| Well, I got the B$tch running....even idling I don't think she's jetted quite right and she is LOUD! Installed some goodies on her. Not impressed with much of it, but I guess it'll work. Think I could have stuck with the stock silencer and just put a sparky in it and been good. O'well. *Forth of July week is COMING! | |

Just give it time, ride a gear tall, short shift, clutch control. Slip it, thats what there for. Back off the compression on those moto forks and shock. point and shoot. Those are great woods bikes.
