Have to check that out up close. Maybe he will take a K for it. Let me know if ya go look at it. Orange, lite and fun. If it runs good Ill bet it would put a grin on your face inspector. Here is another good trail bike deal http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/mcy/2333075992.html

I don't know why I'm so stuck on the 300 but his response is

I'm 220 and it fits me perfectly. The only maint. I do is I wash it after every ride along with cleaning the air filter and change the oil. Its a old bike and has been rebuilt in 2004. Its not perfect but I have no problems trail ridding 5+ hours.

I'mma call on the 250 today.

**edit. got your pm thumb

If I had limited funds for a dedicated trail machine I would have to go with this one. Hmmm might have to look at it any way. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/mcy/2334219196.html

Can't quite justify it having my 530 and 200 which are both trail-able and I'm too lazy to go all the way to Yelm.. After my last trip I'm trying to save for a 1200GS or maybe a 1150GS will have to do. Ya just cant go wrong with those KDX's though. You can beat them to death and they just keep going.

I would stay clear of those MX bikes Kevin. Ask Willy about his and how many times he was picking himself up. Don't get me wrong, they rip but for me they rip when I want to roll scared harsh moto suspension and 19" rear dont work so well either. For me anyway.

See, that's what I say too. Willy is the one recommending it! He hasn't gotten back to me, but I am assuming that it's set up for the trail.

*edit...I just emailed the KDX dude

Ask the guy with the 220 if he changed the piston. The only problem I have heard of with these bikes is the stock piston can grenade. If he hasn't I would replace the piston with a new weisco, $130 and you dont have to worry as well as you have a nice fresh top end.

Those 99 exc's had the 45mm conventional zokes on them. Nice plush fork, rear shock needed some work but he probably had that done. It would have to be in good shape for 1500 though. Seems a bit steep. Can always make a low ball offer though. Nice bike Can't remember, does the 99 250 have a hydraulic clutch?

I believe the 250-380's had the 50mm WP Extreme conventional forks which work very nice and hopefully the rear shock had a bladder conversion installed. I use to have a 98 KTM 200 and it came with the 45mm zokes. That bike should also have the hydraulic clutch. I'm with Enduroguy; that price might be a little high but if it's ready to ride for the season and really clean it could be worth it. I sold my 200 3 years ago for $1800

It's a lot older...even if it's "all new" still too much money. Is it worth it if I talk him down to 1k or so?

or

too far to go look at..how about (for cheaper obviously)
