Hahahaha, We can talk as the date gets closer. Last time I went over the pass I was topped out at 35mph. Of course that was 2bikes, 2people...but you get the drift.

This area has a LOT of single track trails! That is what it is most known for! In fact, quads are not allowed on these trails. There are also tons of designated Jeep trails, as well as lots of forest service roads where you do need to be street legal. However, off-road tabs will be needed for the single track and Jeep trails.

Has this trip reached it's quota of riders yet, or can it take three more? (The T.Low Crew) It looks like a great place to ride. We'd probably do more single track than fs roads.

There is no limit for this gathering, the park where we are staying is supposed to be big, and the riding areas plentiful. It would be great to have you and your crew join us!

Mosquitos can be a real problem on the West side of Naches this time of year. Lots of bog and swamp near there.

If you cross the wagon trail over the pass to the East side you'll be able to camp without bieng eaten alive.

Trailhead over the pass is a bit tricky to find, it's near the end of FS 70 on a left fork rd.
Look on your right for a small uphill jeep trail. No sign and it does not look like a through road at all.
Goes uphill steep for 20-30 yards then flattens out to a snowmobile parking lot with hitching posts.

Cabin at the snowmobile lot is first come first serve for through hikers. Smells like hippies you wouldn't want to sleep there.
We've Jeeped through there many times. Really nice area. lots of trail on the East side. Manatash ORV just opened too.

I wasn't, but now that you mention it! I'll likely forget bug spray, water, you know, the essentials. LOL

I took a ride up to the Little Naches area yesterday. The summer heat has really dried things out. The trails look to be dry and dusty. Prepare accordingly.

I, myself, do not ride the single tracks anymore. Too old!

I think I am going up there on the 3rd with the wife and kid. I will get some pictures and driving directions of the camping area while I'm there.

I think my brother and I are going to make this one. Sounds like fun. not sure how long we'll stay but it looks like we're going.

OK I just got back from the Crow Creek Campground. The Crow Creek campground is 43.5 miles from the 82 turn off in Yakima. This includes the short detour on 410. Crow Creek is actually outside a tiny town called Cliffdell. If you are coming from the east it is 41 miles to Whistlin Jack Lodge. Drive west 4 more miles to 19 which is on the right (north), just before the Little Naches river bridge. 19 turn off from 410 GPS N 46-59.369 W 121-05.788







Take 19 to 1902 on left 2.5 miles.



Go about a half mile and Crow Creek campground is on the right. GPS N 47-00.977 W121-08.383







When we were there only one other person was at the campground. Plenty of room for multiple trailers, toy haulers etc. $8.00 a night and $5.00 for each car. Relay tech and I are going up Thursday morning and will try to get a big area. Let us know if you have a big trailer and the day you are coming, we will try to set a area for you. I just think they will have a lot of room. I'm sure it fills more on the weekend. BTW No campfires or charcoal bbq's right now. Just gas stoves.

Not sure what you mean by "the actual Naches trail", but you can ride the many jeep trails if you want, but there is also tons of single track and forest roads. Something for everybody I think.
